Mihai Albu
You moved to Belgium for a job, for your partner's career or for a fresh start. On paper things are going well. But the people who supported you at home are far away, the language around you is not your own, and the stress, the sleepless nights or the arguments at home are getting hard to carry alone. Mihai Albu is an English-speaking clinical psychologist, psychotherapist and art therapist with a practice in Ixelles, Brussels. He also sees clients at Clinique 27 in Kraainem, just east of Brussels. Most of the people he works with are expats and internationals living in Belgium. Sessions are held in English or Romanian. What he can help with: Anxiety, panic attacks and stress. Burnout and pressure at work. Depression, trauma and difficult emotions. Self-confidence and relationship difficulties. Individual, couples and family therapy, including for teenagers and students. He works with Adlerian psychotherapy, integrative gestalt therapy and EMDR, a method often used in trauma therapy. As an art therapist he trained in the Phronetik method within the Romanian Association of Expressive Therapies (A.R.T.E.), of which he is president. He holds a master's degree in clinical psychology and psychological counselling from Hyperion University and is registered with the Belgian Psychologists' Commission (Compsy). A session usually lasts 45 to 50 minutes. Couples sessions last 60 minutes. To book a first appointment, call the number in this profile. Say briefly what brings you and whether the sessions are for you alone or for you and your partner. Ask him directly about the session fee before your first appointment.
